The Himalayan belt from Pakistan to Burma, which includes
Kashmir, Nepal and Tibet etc, is mainly made of sand stone rocks and it is too
sensitive to make big water reservoirs and dams. Even stretching roads and rail
links on high mountains disturb the Himalayan belt and its deep structures very
badly. Unfortunately this is done in last 10-20 years on a very large scale by
our greedy neighbors to damage Indian economy... Even our neighbors are trying
to make roads up to Mount Everest and long tunnels on the entire Himalayan Mountains.
We just cannot imagine how much damaging it would be for the entire world. It
is time for all of us to rethink of these devastating plans.
The current Earthquakes of Nepal are the result of these big
destructions made on the Himalayan Mountains by the greedy neighbors of India.
In my Poem on Poetry Soup I had felt these devastating outcomes of Earthquakes
and in time to come we would watch such more destruction on a much wider scale
taking the entire Asian Himalayan regions
In my Poem dated 9th December 2009 I had expressed this and
it can be viewed on my Page on Poetry Soup. My town and house is under the
clutches of Earth Quakes and I do not know how long I can sit on my 1st
floor room as since yesterday twice we have left the house to stand on roads
because of the continuing waves of Earth Quakes. Hope to see you soon. Love and
